Terminating crashed Applications quick will not make you wait until the it closes by itself, you can change the wait time in system registry.
To do this,
Open Regedit and navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktopand change the value of "HungAppTimeout" key to 500 or 1000500 = .5 seconds
